BB Gun Pistol
When playing professionally hosted airsoft games, most people concentrate on high powered rifles, machine guns and even grenade launchers. There are however other versions of the games that limit participants to only a BB Gun Pistol. These games can sometimes be trickier than their big brothers and can often require more skill and stealth. Being pistol based also means that it is mostly close quarter fighting. This opens up possibilities of playing indoor, but not feeling cramped. They can provide a totally different pace from larger games and can be considerably more exciting.
For indoor games, the scenarios are often a little different from what you would play on large scale outdoor games; a few of the more common games are listed below.
Manhunt Using BB Gun Pistol
This type of game is mostly played at night. The idea is one player is dedicated as a target and given a back story. Perhaps he is an escaped murderer, maybe he is an enemy nation's spy who has been cornered in a building. Whatever the back-story, the idea is for the players hunting to shoot the target. There are of course many variable rules. Maybe the target is armed or unarmed. Perhaps the hunters are rival bounty hunters and are allowed to shoot each other in order to be the first to claim the prize. There could be time limits, any number of rules to make the game different or interesting. Location is a big part of this game. You would like a large area; it'd be hard to play properly in a cramped house. You want the target to be able to move around, hiding and sneaking with relative safety. You'd be in for a very short game in a small residential building.
Cops & Robbers
This is a more even match and can be played in a massive variety of environments. The idea here is to have everyone split into 2 teams. The cops and the criminals. You could set out a scenario, whatever you want. Perhaps the cops have turned up at the scene of a bank robbery and the robbers have hostages. Maybe cops are storming a drug baron's Columbian mansion and are looking to take no hostages. Whatever your back-story, this game is usually intense and a lot of fun. You are more effective when you work as a team and can get some great tactics and strategy employed. Usually the winner will be the team that has the last player standing. You can however mix up the rules as much as you want. Perhaps the cops only have a BB gun pistol each, where as the heavily armed criminals have an entire arsenal to choose from. Maybe the cops have smoke grenade, shields etc. Again, no matter what you decide, you are sure to have a blast.
Juggernaut
This game is basically the opposite of manhunt. One player is the juggernaut and must shoot the other players to win. Only he is allowed to shoot other players and the other players are only allowed to shoot him. If another player kills him, they become the juggernaut and must eliminate the rest of the competition to win. You no not necessarily need to play the game with a BB gun pistol each, you can perhaps have the juggernaut with a meatier machine gun and if he is killed, the killer gets to pick up the juggernaut's gun. Again you can play around with the rules to fit your particular preference but this is another exciting close quarter game that can be played.
